politics can be funny… both major chicago newspapers announced their endorsement of the “dubya.” the democrats, not to be outdone, had hollywood actors endorse gore–someone remind me why their opinion should hold any special weight? a few actors showed up at depaul university on a platform emblazoned with the ridiculous slogan: “who let the dems out? gore! gore!”
nbc, immediately following the local news in chicago, ran a lauren beth gash commercial attacking her opponent, mark kirk. then, immediately following that, nbc ran a mark kirk commercial quoting the chicago tribune’s characterization of the allegations that gash makes in her ads as “silly”, for one. i’m guessing that gash’s campaign isn’t going to be too happy with nbc!
