the chicago tech body count continues to rise:
the rumors were true. beautyjungle has closed its doors and declared bankruptcy on nov. 15. this is somewhat surprising considering the amount of accolades beautyjungle has received and its very recent appearance as one of i-street’s top 75 new economy companies.
the demise of open port is also reportedly imminent and hey company has already shut down operations.
in less depressing news: marchfirst is allowing employees to do a three for one trade of their old options for new ones. this is supposedly an attempt to bolster employee retention. which, is interesting, given the anecdotal evidence that marchfirst has been laying a good deal of people off.
