IBM has agreed to acquire
IBM has agreed to acquire Rational Software. Here’s the official press release. I don’t know if this is good news or not. Rational Software makes some of the worst software I have ever seen. This is pretty ironic for a company that claims to help people write better software. Anyone who has used any Rational product can attest to this. Rational Rose is such a pig that it brought my 1.6gHz P4 to its knees.
Hopefully, Borland, with its recent acquisition of TogetherSoft, will put up a good fight.
