The Chicago Tribune saw a 65% gain in circulation from 2001 to 2002. However, USA Today is still the most circulated newspaper in the country. I guess that doesn’t say anything we don’t know already about literacy in the US. I had a history teacher who didn’t even consider USA Today a real newspaper.

Here’s a newsflash… Hotmail doesn’t block dictionary attacks. This may explain why your Hotmail account gets more spam than real mail. Hotmail’s paltry 2MB quota just exacerbates the spam headaches. Apple has released their own

Apple has released their own implementation of X11 for OS X: X11 for Mac OS X. It’s supposedly faster than OroborX. I’m downloading it now, so I can’t confirm this yet. It also includes support for Quartz Extreme (OpenGL hardware acceleration).

This has got to put a smile on your face: Apple – PowerBook G4 17″. At 17 inches, the screen is the largest to be fitted to a laptop. At 1440×900 pixels, it’s not the highest resolution available on a laptop. But, I’ve seen 1600×1200 pixels squeezed onto smaller LCD panels and it’s not pretty. [...]

Apple releases its own Web browser. Jobs claims it is three times faster than Internet Explorer. The download doesn’t seem to be available on the Apple website, yet. I wonder how this new browser will compete with Chimera. Chimera is my current browser of choice.
