chi-lexicon: Short post about some words apparently unique to Chicago.
Justice is a dish best served cold: New York Times article about a guy who helps his friend retrieve her lost Sidekick (that’s a cell phone for the uninitiated). He finds the teenage girl who “acquired” the phone. She refuses to return the phone and continues to use it as her own. The guy posts the pictures that she has taken of herself and her family, with the stolen phone, online. He gains wide support from pretty much everyone who views his website. Hilarity ensues–OK, not really. The girl gets her comeuppance, is humiliated, and eventually arrested.
Someone from NPR posted a terse response to the This American Life podcast brouhaha. There isn’t much substance to the post. It seems to have been posted more as fodder for discussion than anything else.
